Scoliosis SOS Clinic

Hi All,
Does anyone with scoliosis/kyphoscoliosis know anything about, or tried, the non-surgical treatment for scoliosis and postural correction at the Scoliosis SOS Clinic in London? I'm giving this some serious consideration but it's expensive and is a huge commitment. Just thought it would be useful if there was anyone out there who had knowledge of it/tried it.

To be honest, I think Scoliosis SOS does a hard sell, and can frighten you into doing their courses, which is really not OK, given that we're already quite anxious and vulnerable. I felt similarly pressurised and ended up paying a £500 deposit. But then I had time to see the RNOH people, who do of course have far more sophisticated ways of monitoring curve progression, etc, and got other useful advice from a Scoliosis Association meeting, and decided not to go ahead. It just makes me feel glad that i live in the UK, where, however long the waiting lists, I can make decisions with experts who don't have a financial stake in my choices.

Hi there fellow scoliosis patients......I'm 61 years old with a 73 degree curve mid back and 53 degrees lower back. I had 9 vertebra fused 40 years ago (no hardware) All was great until a few months ago....I could feel and see my torso collapsing.......have lost 4 inches of height.....anyone with a similar situation? Desperate for info and direction!

Hi Valory, your post is old so I don't know if your situation has changed. If you are young these applications can sometimes help, but in my forties and fifties I spent over $30k believing false promises. I thought the project in England looked interesting, but I would not go unless I could communicate with at least 3 people who have gone through the program, have improved greatly, and are not slipping back.
Best of luck,
