Screaming to be heard

Hello everyone,
I just found on the internet a pdf of a book with title screaming to be heard and I am trying to find answers to my hormonal torture.
So, I read the case of a young patient, Luala, only 37 years struggling for 8 years without answers.
She was still having her periods so doctors were dismissing her. Nothing hormone related.
She was also able to feel her ovulations. Her story is very similar to mine.
Finally Dr Vliet checked her estradiol levels and on day1 was found at 27, extremely low, mine are detected 23 even lower on day 3 of my cycle.
Like many younger women with this pattern of low estradiol , she still had health luteal phase ovulatory rise in progesterone ( normal levels)
To cut the long story short, she was prescribed a steady dose of estradiol and she started feeling like her old self.
Generally speaking it was the declining levels of estradiol which has caused all of her symptoms but her progesterone was normal enough
I am going to see my doctor this week and I am going to discuss with him my horible hellish symptoms and show the case of Luala.
My dear ladies, I cannot this torture anymore. It is hell on earth

Hi evi, best of luck with the doctor. I can say that there is hope. I've been on bhrt for 7 months and there is a huge difference with how I was in March. I can function now without crippling anxiety and pain. I've gone from feeling like I couldn't go out, to getting up very early and sitting on a train to Bristol to get to a meeting today. 6 months ago there was no way. Hang in there and you will find the right thing for you xx

Thank u so much for your reply...
I am sure my body is screaming for estradiol. I cannot function anymore. Estrogen deficiency is hell!
I want to feel normal again Sassyr. Nothing else...I want to function without pain and other horrible symptoms. I am tired of it physically, mentally, emotionally.
I tried but hormones are powerful. I need treatment.

Honestly I know evi. I've always had issues with hormones and managed to get through somehow but was in peri from my early 20s and then this year at 43 I must have it full meno. I could not function, sleep, go out, crippling anxiety, could concentrate and was in pain - all of the good stuff. I'm a believer in treating the cause and not everyone can get through it without taking something, or at least why make it so difficult for yourself? It takes a while to get the right treatment, and then a few months to feel the benefit - so the sooner you start the journey the better. I think I'm better now than I've felt probably for about 10 years, so there is hope I promise! Hormones are such a huge part of the endocrine system and effect everything, so sooner the better I say and don't be afraid to tell the doctor what you want/need... Sometimes they don't get it xx

Hi evi
I hope you get your Christmas wish, and there will be a solution, you just need the right doctor to find it. I paid privately a few years ago to see an amazing doctor who specialised in women's health, and trust me there is a fix for every problem. GPs aren't always able to identify what can help, but someone who specialises will be able to. I've got some complex hormonal /endocrine /thyroid issues and found something to work and you will too! In the meantime, what are you doing for your symptoms? Xx
