I am scheduled for a scrotal nerve block next week to try and relieve the severe scrotal swelling and pain I get in my left groin, testicle and lower back mainly after sex.
I was wondering if anyone has had this nerve block and if they could tell me about the procedure and if it was effective and if it affected their sex life? Thanks.

I had 2 different types of nerve block for orchitis, the 1st worked for about 3 weeks reducing pain by about 25% the 2nd made my pain much worse for a number of months ! I ended up having a testicle removed last December and that has not solved my problems,
If your pain is very bad I understand you have to try or you wont know, Theres about a 60% success rate with these injections so for 40% like me they don't work.

Thanks leesteuk for responding. I am sorry it did not work for you. I will let you know how it works for me. I haven't even been diagnosed yet as to what condition I have but it sure is painful.
Was the nerve block procedure itself painful?
