Hi Debbie, for some reason my story got cut off. It wasn't earlier. Thank you for asking me. The food was stuck for 2 hrs before calling 911. The paramedics took me to ER. They gave me two injections and a nitro pill under my tongue which was suppose to relax my esophagus. It didn't. I couldn't swallow so kept spitting up. ThebER doctor said he called a anesthesiologist and a gastro Dr. to come in to do an endoscopy. It was now 5 1/2 hours by this time. My husband and I thought I was gonna die. They did it right in the ER. I woke up and it was over. The Dr said she was able to get it to go down. My throat was sore for a few days and have eaten only soft food.

Thank you, glad you are okay. I am having health issues, trying to get diagnosed is a nightmare. I might possibly have Sjogrens, or some autoimmune disease. Haven't seen a rheumatologist yet, but I certainly need too. What are your symptoms of this, if you don't mind me asking?

Hi Debbie, My symptoms to Sjogrens is severe fatigue. My eyes and mouth get so very dry. My eyes feel gritty, like sand is in them. They burn and have to use eye drops. My mouth gets dry and have to sip water all day long. I began to get dental problems cavities, root canals, etc from loss of saliva. I developed interstitial cystitis which is I flamation in my bladder. I get lots of bladder infections. We have tendency to dehydrate and need to drink lots of water or anything that replenishes loss of electrolytes. And I get joint pain. Mine is mostly in my knees. I suffer from insomnia too. But it isn't all at once. If you prevent alot of this by seeing a dentist who can keep an eye on your oral health. Salivary glands are sometimes infected or plug up but just driking water with a bit of lemon can prevent this. It gets a little better.once you know what helps you. I just found a product over the counter that helps with my dry mouth. Most of things that help sjogrens patients is purchased over the counter. Can get a little costly. If you have any questions just ask and if I can help I will tel you what I've learned over the years.

      God bless you
