Sea Salt Bath cures bv

Posted , 11 users are following.

After trying yogurt, apple cider vinegar, garlic, hydrogen peroxide, antibiotics from my doctor, and probiotics this has been the most promising “cure” so far. 7 cups of warm clean water and 1/2 of sea salt and all symptoms are gone. It’s only been 5 days but I finally feel like a normal woman again! Along with the bath I did once a day for 3 days right before bed, I took a 10 billion liquid probiotic I found at Whole Foods. Must be the kind you refrigerate because it has the most live cultures unlike the knock off pill ones.

How long did you sit in there?

Between 15 to 20 mins. Day 6 and not a single sign of it returning! I’ve had bv for 2 years and this is the longest it’s been gone without at least one symptom returning. Hopefully sex or my period won’t trigger it again

Thank you for taking time to share your method. This one is next on my list to try. Like so many other women I have tried it ALL. Most things work for a couple of days and then it's back. It's probably never really been gone. Anyway, I am off to buy sea salt.

You’re so welcome. I’m still symptom free I’m so relived I could cry! TMI but the only issue left I have is dryness during sex but it’s so minor compared to what I’ve dealt with these few years. Make sure to take a refrigerated probiotic as well to aid in the good bacteria finishing the job.

Hi how many days did you do this for? And did you sit in a tub or was it bath? Was it twice a day or once a day?

3 days for once a day but I suggest do it until all symptoms are gone. I actually sat in a pan, a tub is too large. A bowl or pan something you can sit in should be fine.

hello can you give an update. is it still working for you? i have been suffering with bv for about 5 years. i believe it was after i was given antibiotics in the hospital for a uti. ive tried the metrozole gel and it worked temp but thn came back ans i have just been dealing with it. i recently went back to the dr cause im just sick of the smell i know others can smell me if i can smell. i was again prescriced the gel but really dont want to take it cause im nervous about the side affects. i tried this for 1 day and it helped a little im sure if i did it longer it would of helped.
