Searching for a specialist in both rheumatology and ENT

Posted , 2 users are following.

To rule out autoimmune causes for hearing loss I'm looking for an ENT doctor who is also a rheumatologist or specialist in autoimmune conditions.

Does anyone have advice on how to find a doctor like this privately.?

Thanks

You will want a specialist called an otolaryngologist (ear doctor) who's also trained in autoimmune disorders for something potentially this rare and complex. Most rheumatologists would not have the complete experience you are looking for. You might look for (internet search) a clinic with a specialty in autoimmune ear disease. However, as hearing loss can be caused by several things a larger clinic with other specialties might be preferable. You get kind of a team approach.

I don’t know where you live but you may have to travel quite a distance. I have to fly 3.5 hours each way to see my doctors which in this pandemic is not good.
