Second heroes outbreak

Well I had my first so awful outbreak on Feb 4th that lasted a month. It was awful.

Well its only just about 3 weeks that it's been gone, that I'm getting my life back together. And sadly I seen some sores down there again. Now they are itching really bad in one spot and not getting better. Unfortunately, look as they are spreading. I started to take my valtrex 3 times a day yesterday today is day two. Is there anything else I can do? Or just keep doing the 3 a day for 5 days. I was doing suppressive therapy. That didn't help very much did it? Only thing I've added is alcohol. I guess I found my enemy... this is so annoying. What it feels like to have a normal vagina? I'll never know....

My first outbreak was in November, lasted about a month. Went on suppressive daily. I've had the most intense stressor every month since, still smoke and drink on occasion, otherwise nothing yet, knock on wood. Felt what i thought could have been something, but no sores, so there's hope.

What I discovered, for me at least, is that alcohol is not a good idea until you've developed antibodies, so after 4-5 months, then I was fine with going out late and drinking (not to excess) again. My biggest trigger so far is illness. Got a bad cold recently and BAM - swelled up near my butthole, saw a couple of tiny glistening spots, and now they've ulcerated and combined into one long sore. rolleyes

P.S. A heroes outbreak sounds much better!

It's not like the first outbreak. But my bf was sick last week, and my throat started hurting so I was like. Oh god, I'm getting sick. But now that I have the sores I'm like oh its an outbreak...... I hope the 3 a day for 5 days will be ok. And yea alcohol will have to be out of the diet again....smh.

I noticed I spelt it wrong lol

      Does it hurt every outbreak?

No, I have had a couple of very mild recurrences that were barely noticeable. This one is somewhat worse because of my bad cold. Yeah, better to take a break from alcohol for a little while, focus on getting your body strong, then venture out and see how it goes. The first time, I tried too soon and felt a bit off the day afterwards or so. After a few months, however, I was back to normal in terms of going out! Until I came down with this blasted cold, that is.
