second time on zoloft and feeling nauseous

Hi! I originally started on Zoloft when I was around 16 for severe anxiety which manifested itself into constant dizziness and causing me to feel like I'm going to faint. I started on 25mg, and I had side effects that I don't particularly remember, but I DO remember having no appetite at all and only could eat saltines and clementines. During my first semester of college, I was doing fine so I thought it would be okay to decrease in my medication, so I went from 75mg (which I was on for the majority of the two years that I was using zoloft) to 50mg. I was also drinking for the first time because I was abroad in Greece but had no problems with the combination until I threw up one morning, which was the first time I threw up in 15 years (I always have been and still am terrified of throwing up). After that I began to feel nauseous 24/7 and still get nauseous almost every day and it's been 8 months. I thought that zoloft might be causing the problem, so I played around with it and decreased to 25mg. I played around with the dose a lot. But, I have still been nauseous and think about it every second of the day which probably makes it worse. After an upper endoscopy that was clear and a lot of thought, I decided that I should try and go back on zoloft since it's a high possibility that anxiety is causing the nausea. I just started it the other day and took 50mg by the doctor's advice. I've not felt good and have been very nauseous with no appetite at all. I was wondering if I've already taken it before, will it begin to work faster? and will the nauseousness subside faster? My mind keeps trying to tell me that zoloft won't help my nauseousness/make it worse, so I don't know what to do. Please help

In my experience, it won't work any faster just because you've been on it before. I've been on 100 mg for 7 years and just recently had a relapse of my anxiety due to a couple of traumatic incidents. The doctor put me up to 150 and I'm on day 23 of 150 and I'm still waiting for the full effect. I have had some not bad days and only one really good day so far.

Hi Katie. I'm so sorry that you're feeling this way it's a horrible place to be in. I've been on setraline for 2 years now and every single day since th first day I took it I've felt unwell. I cry to my partner sometimes saying I can't remember what it feels like to be normal and not ill 24/7. Personally out of all the medication I've been on for anxiety this is the worst I've tried to come off it many times but the withdrawal is so bad that I need to go back on. I should mention I'm on 200mg a day.
The doctors say it takes 6-8 weeks for your body to accept it and even after that the side effects that come along with the medication are much the same - sickness dizziness insomnia weight gain depression loss of apperite etc. Would it be worth asking your doctor to try something else if the side effects are too bad? I don't think it'll work faster Hun since your body has already withdrawn from it since the last time you took it.
I too have extreme anxiety and I've been dealing with it for 8 years. I'm here to give you all the advice I can ??
