Second week of Zoloft. Very sad and shaky

I started Zoloft 4 weeks ago. 25 mg then 50 then 75. I am now on 100mg for 10 days.  I started taking it fir anxiety and a few panic attack which I have never had in my life. I am 54. Now I am am finding I am sad all the time. Crying daily and have no get up and go. I am taking a small dose of clonaxapam to get me through the adjustment period. My question is how much more can I take. The depression scares me as it is a new feeling. My physiatrist wants me to go up to 150 mg. She says it will get better. I just wonder how to cope until these kick in. I still feel nauseous as well. I need some positive feedback as I don’t want to go backwards after coming this far. Any advice is really welcomed

I got off Zoloft because of depression!! It made me very sad and I cried all the time. My doctor switched me to Prozac, and I've been on it for over 2 weeks and it seems to be the one for me! I would stick with what the professionals say, (but don't be afraid to voice how you're feeling and any concerns!) and I also see a GP, not a psychiatrist (psychiatrist are usually better in this field obviously!!) I hope the turning point comes soon for you! Sending support!!

Thanks fir your feedback. I am glad your switch worked for you. I am going to try to give it another week and if the crying doesn’t stop I will ask to be switched. This is such a horrible sickness.  I am told that as I have never had anxiety or depression in my life I will eventually get off the drugs.  Has anyone done a year or two and successfully went off them for good ?  Thanks for listening
