Securing a revision THR with “glueing” technique.

Has anyone in the UK experienced the glueing procedure I've been offered, whereby the head of femur is "glued" into the socket ? My revision hip has dislocated 5 times in 6 years, partly because nerve damage has weakened all the thigh muscles.

The surgeons assure me that would offer 90 degrees of movement, although entailing a 12 -week recovery period. I had never heard of this, although it has apparently been available for c.15 years. I am still working.

Jane, Is it the same as cementing the new hip in, I shouldn't think it would be any difference between the two. Mine is cemented in.
