Seeing inside lens

re my previous message. 2 weeks after having my second cataract done I was putting a meat cutting board away in a tight place and felt something in my eye fall and stick in the bottom. when I was told about coverage of lens I saw what looked like a curved scar but think I must have burst a blood vessel at the top which had run down the lens as it had a bloblike drop in my lower eyelip area.

Hi Beryl! When I had cataract surgery (left eye only) for the first couple of weeks I could actually see the side of the lens depending on room lighting. It's been seven months since surgery and I no longer see or think about it. Since you've just had surgery, give the healing process some time. Also, don't hesitate to contact your surgeon if you think something might be wrong. Keep us posted!

I had it done at Birmingham city eye hospital, now wishing I had stayed with the right eye only cause left eye wasn't too bad. It is impossible to speak to surgeons Just have to wait for appointment or go up to A & E.

Birmingham UK? Hmm NHS. If you are worried then go to A&E maybe?

I don't understand if operation was done 2 weeks ago or the cutting board incident happened 2 weeks ago?

Are you on your own? How are you managing daily stuff? Stay strong.

Thanks for reply - the cutting board incident was 2 weeks after 2nd cataract was done on 6th June. my husband has balance problems so I tend to do his jobs to save him falling which would cause more problems.
