Self care ideas...

After browsing the forums, I notice that people mention self care during the start-up phase to help get through. I was wondering if anyone wanted to share what works for them? I am on day 24 of 50 mg and still have every start-up side effect listed.

I have been doing daily meditations (with the Calm app) and sometimes need to do a couple at work to get through the highest anxiety days. I have also started a gratitude journal and really try to find 3 things everyday that I am grateful for. My sleep routine has changed drastically in these last few weeks and I try to stick with that (even though I still wake at 4:30 every morning). I've cut out caffeine and alcohol for the time being. Oh....I pushed myself to start restorative yoga and diaphramatic breathing.

All this being said....it is a daily struggle to force myself to do these things but I know in the end it will help with the medication.

Anyone have other things that helped?

    you're doing a lot of good things already, don't forget to cut out sugar, and some carbs, sugar makes anxiety worse, I like reading, it distracts me a lot, and walking, praying, you need a lot of patience, but you will get better soon, 🙂
