Selincro - PCT wont pescribe
Posted , 5 users are following.
Hello All, im a prime candidate for Selincro and have ticked all the boxes for using but despite NICE recommending use my PCT wont pescribe it. Anyone know why this is and can you challenge? I've bought a private pescription now which should arrive shortly.
Would be interested to hear others experiences. Does it work? is it worth it? I'm fortunate i had all my liver function, kidney, everything blood tests back and so far (47) i havent damaged myself but thats only a matter of time i think. my alcohol use seems to be a form of self sabotage. I sit and home and drink instead of trying to get out and live life more fully. i need to lose a lot of weight too and alcohol just kills that. I'm hoping this drug will give me the hand up that i need. I have lots of other tools to help myself and try very hard.
Thanks :-)

I use this method to treat clients and it DOES work. In Finland, they have a 78% success rate. We have seen amazing results.
Do some reading about how to use it. You are best searching 'The Sinclair Method' to see how it is best used. Searches for Nalemefene or Selincro are less likely to tell you all that you need to know. The video 'One Little Pill' and the eBook 'The Cure for Alcoholism' by Roy Eskapa are good resources to start with.

I will do the research you suggest too. I have read some of the threads here and different peoples experiences. I've read about dividing the pill into three (ive bought new capsules to put them in to avoid the upset stomach aspect) and taking them for seven days to overcome side effects and taking them a few hours earlier than the suggested times. I really only do need a 'leg up' which i hope this is what this does.
Should arrive this week and if they work buying them (£63 for 14) is still cheaper in every way than buying and the results of alchohol. I'll update once ive started.
Interested in any advice users may have too.
thanks again
Tina

You mention taking a pill 1 hour before a drink. The recommended time is 90 minutes to 2 hours. It may be working ok for you but people differ. I am saying this for the benefit of other people...The danger is that, if you only allow one hour and your body hasn't had time for the Nalmefene (Selincro) to take effect, the first drink or two will slip through while you are still unprotected and that would mean that you could find the Nalmefene less effective and your drinking will reduce more slowly than it would if the drug had had adequate time to work.
Stick with taking it TLB (IF you are going to be drinking.) The side effects will subside until you get none at all.
