Serialise side effects

I have been on 50mg serialise for 9 days now, I take at night before bed. When I wake up in the morning I feel sick, lightheaded, my hands and arms shake terribly. Does anyone else get this or have any ideas or tips please. Thanks in advance xx

Hi Nicola. This is pretty normal. I started on 50mg 4 weeks ago and increased to 100mg 2 weeks ago. I'm still getting the symptoms you describe when I wake up - I also take my medication before bed - although less often and less severe. People have said it can take a fairly long while to settle down, weeks rather than days. Hope this helps. Jason, UK.

Hi nicola I would say your side affects seem mild to what I suffered. There was a point I felt I should stop because my side effects were so bad. However I am so glad I did.

I can honestly say I am realy starting to feel good again about myself😊.

I am sleeping so much better were as I was up till 4 and 5am could not sleep at all.

In general I'm feeling better than I have in a very long time.

Been taking 50mg March for 4 weeks then increased to 100ml in April.

Baby steps but you will get there.

    Best of luck.

yes Nicola..take it slow..sometimes it's seems the more the better..not always true with sertraline..some systems cannot tolerate higher doses..I have been at 50mg for 4 months..finally settling in..tried increasing..when what I really need to do is sit still and give my body a chance to acclimate to this medicine..remember there is therapeutic value in 25 or 50 mg for some..take care
