Hey Nick
There have been some young guy on here lately with the same problem. When I look it up it said that it is normal. Being that the penis head is made up of multiple layers of tissue. All men are made the same way but some men you need a magnifying glass to see the lines or groves
They say they show up most of the time when you are erect and dry. Sometimes a moisteurizer will help
Hope this helps.......Ken

Nick, what ken states is correct - but you can help your penile skin to eventually become more healthy that it is. Here is the basics of what you need to do: -
NOTE: for many men they may think by doing these things for month after month that nothing is changing - this is because once penile skin has been exposed to things like soap from when you were born onwards that penile skin can take a very long time to become fully healthy again. Certainly I would suggest in-excess of a year-and-a-half would not be unusual - but the earlier you make the changes I suggest the sooner your penile skin will become healthier

So yes, odour from the penis is something most men struggle with. You have to maintain vigilance in cleaning your penis, particularly after each time you urinate - so you wash with water and fully dry as often as you can, if you cannot wash use some clean paper tissue or toilet tissue to clean around the head of your penis after urinating. If you are uncircumcised draw the foreskin down the shaft of your penis towards the body before commencing urination.
Do not forget, your bladder and penis does not function like a tap being fully off, if you wear tight clothing you need to make sure you relax your muscles holding back urine so that your bladder is fully emptied.
For example, if you wear tight jeans undo the top button to relax your abdomen and therefore your bladder before you begin urinating means you can control flow much better.
It is best always to take 10 to 20 seconds longer each time you urinate so that all the urine in your bladder is emptied from the bladder itself, from the urinary tract and within the penis itself. Here is part of one of my Guides to further detail the main issues:
.
Penile Hygiene Protocol to Combat Penile Skin Problems
.
It is essential that you abstain from applying anything at all directly to your penis - wash the head / glans with water only, dry 100% immediately afterwards by patting dry with a towel, draw your foreskin as far forward as you can each time you shower to protect the head, once you have thoroughly rinsed everything off, expose the head of your penis and rub with the inside of your hand only. Don't apply any Lubes, Baby Oil, Moisturiser or Skin Creams / Lotions to it. If you are sexually active, or Masturbate, clear away any fluids from the entire surface of the head of your penis as soon as you can. You may need to be vigilant and check for several hours after you have ejaculated to see if any further pre-ejaculate or semen reaches the head of your penis.
