Seriously?!

Just tried to walk 100 yards with my grandchildren..Could hardly make it back! My legs became so weak, my left foot feels swollen and numb and my back began aching so bad..thought I may pass out or have to sit down on side of road! Like I walking through quick sand! My eyes feel strange in the sun and hurt..and my notorious mouth pain is much worse now after trying that 10 mins ago..Seriously...is all this normal with ebv? If someone thinks it's irregular of the virus pls tell me cause I'm scared for my life..my poor grandbabies dont understand what is happening to me either..

Thank you for sharing that! I am having a very hard time accepting the fact that ebv can be the cause of all these nasty hateful issues..😶 take care..so glad you're doing better!

Thank you! You’ll be better too. Mentally prepare yourself that it might take months (each month will slowly get better) and that your symptoms will constantly change !! A few weeks ago I was at such an emotional low.. felt so sick and hopeless and tired of being sick for months and people not understanding.. but then things look up again slowly (and then down... and then up). I check in everyday here.. this forum keeps me sane! Wishing you a good day may you feel better than you did yesterday!

    Hi Lesaco,

I'm so sorry to hear you're having such a hard time....it's just awful, when your body just feels so beaten up and when the simple things become so hard it's very frightening. I just really hope all these pains settle down, I'm still believing in recovery for you, hang in there - trusting God with it.

Have you tried oregano for the mouth pain? Can't remember if I said that before. Might be worth a try anyway. Remember that all this passes, as Van says sometimes it takes a bit of time, but it's different for everyone, but the main thing to remember is that your body can go through such horrible symptoms for months with this and then go on to make a full and complete recovery - that is normal for most folk and just hang in there for now and cope with each day is the only way - thinking of you.

Craig, you are such an awesome inspiration! Especially knowing you are struggling also! I have ordered oil of oregano finally on amazon..definately worth a try..I started a round of steroids on Wednesday and had hopes they were gonna perk me up alittle..I'm not sure i shud continue as after being outside with grandkids some yesterday I am completely down today where my skin even hurting and legs hardly carry me to bathroom..strange..do you think exposure to sun could be a trigger? I pray not! I sure hope you can overcome your issues very soon! Thanks again for all your support! I know you're a comforting presence on here for many! ?

      Thanks so much Lesaco,

Oh I know how it's much easier to give advice than to take it for sure, I'm the same as everyone on here in that I find it hard to see optimism when things keep going wrong and don't change over a longer period - it's the hardest thing in the world and I do understand.

I'm hoping that you're pain settles, I do still believe there is hope and recovery. I refuse not to believe that at all costs - the enemy might try to bring us down but won't succeed.

I'm not too sure about how the sun affects things, I don't think you have done anything wrong though it may just be that it has irriated things but I am sure it won't cause any long term damage....after all the Vitamin D from the sun is a good thing just I guess about being wise in it and not overdoing it with sunburn etc.

Good luck Lesaco and remember God knows the bigger picture - even if we don't understand what's going on, He knows why and we can be assured that He still has a good purpose - I do believe that you are going to get better and have lots more happier and healtheir days to enjoy spending time with your grandchildren smile just a case of getting through this for now but don't beat yourself up it's gonna come with time, hoping it won't be too long.
