sertaline. anyone pls help?

Posted , 4 users are following.

I've been on sertraline for 5 days now, I took the first one evening time and the middle of the night I had a terrible tummy.

the next day and since I've been taking it at midday. Still had a bit of upset tummy, but not half as bad.

BUT I can't eat. The thought of food and even looking at it makes me feel so sick.

I have had 4 crackers in 3 days.

anyone had the same and how long did it last.

many thanks x

I started with 50 mg a day but got really bad side effects straight away. My appetite was affected to but only for 3-4 days. After a few days my doctor lowerede the dose to 25 mg because of my bad reaction to the pills. After 4 days I went back on 50 mg. I am now on day 10 and feel so much better.

      Hi Ann.

I might lower it myself for a few days as I've lost 3lbs already. I'm only 8st,10.

I'm not back to doc for two weeks.

I just looking forward to feeling "better"

      thanks for your post xxx

Hi, everything you are experiencing is normal, you might try 25 mg. for a couple wks. and see if you do better and then go up. You really do need to try and eat even if it is just crackers. This all goes away, hang in there. There is a light at the end of the tunnel.
