Hi guys

started sertaline 25mg for 2 weeks and now on 50mg .... been feeling sick for the last 2 days and off my food ( i,m normally a big eater)

the annoying thing its working with my anxiety but my OCD is still there .. but my gp wont increase the dose until the sickness goes ( which is fair enough )

how long does it take for these horrible side effects to go .... sertaline is working but the sickness is horrible

                cheers

    Hi Brian,

It usually takes a couple of weeks after each dose increase for side effects to settle down. That’s great that it’s working for your anxiety already, you will likely have ups and downs along the way but it will be worth it. Good luck

      thanks kate

its been a bit of a roller coaster ride .. i was previously on mirtazapine but they did nothing for anxiety ... come of them ( which wasnt a problem ) and then started on 25mg of sertaline

saw my gp yesterday and she recommended taking sertaline after dinner and this seems to of helped ... taking it at bedtime the tablet is laying in your tummy and may make sickness worse

she also gave me cyclizine for the sickness which also seemed to have helped ..

when i do increase to 100mg will i get the same side effects ....

             thanks kate
