Sertaline felt good for 2 days now back to feeling horrible

hi i have been on sertiline for 2 weeks side affects have been horrible but felt ok last 2 days but today back to feeling like death again headaches dizzyness achy arms/legs tired not sleeping well chest/heart flutters im just wondering if this is normal to feel great for few days then back to this???

    ive been on fluoxetine (another ssri) and felt just as u have described. i had some good days and then some terrible. ive heard for the first 6 weeks it can be very up and down.

      yeah its not good felt great was up early out of the house feeling positive then woke up next day feeling crappy again ill just have to put up with it see how i get on over next few weeks hope your feeling better today pal

    It’s normal. It takes weeks to level out. Be patient.

      thanks never taken any medication before it just worries me all these crazy feeling i get hopefully they ease off soon

    im on Citalopram i didn't like Sertraline its a good Ssri one of rhe best but i had bad side effects with that one as well. I'm reading more and more that you just have to give all these drugs loads of time for them to level out. They don't work in 2/3 days. it can take up to 12 weeks for some people but very slow gradual improvements along the way some up days some down days. all of us taking these are on a road with loads and loads of potholes along the way. hopefully your days get better but think of it as more a long term passage and work on that basis. seek you tube videos and self help. im 5 weeks in and seen some great changes albeit slow and with Anxiety peaks along the way.

    the fact that you have started is one step closer to joy.

    thanks for the replys mate its good to get ppls feedback whos got experience in this kind of thing like i say im new to it its scary at times my heads been allover the place

    im not going to put a fake spin on things. its tough starting out on these meds. just go steady keep believing and bash through the hard times its a long road but you can do it.
