Sertaline- help please! Urgent!

Posted , 8 users are following.

Hi all,

I took my first sertaline 10 hours ago... Within 5 minutes of taking it I was getting agonising stabbing pains... That lasted for about half an hour... And I've had extreme toilet troubles since...

I've checked the side effects leaflet n it doesn't list these symptoms as a side effect,..

Anyone else had this problem? Or have I got food poisoning ??

Please help ... I'm really worried

People will always say dont do it and they had a bad reaction ect but i used to drink on cilotapram and i was ok i just got drunk quicker. Ive not had a drink on sertraline but its not because i think its a bad idea its just because i dont want a drink. If i want to have 7 pints i will regardless of tablets or not.

I'll take it easy - I couldn't cope with drinking on chiropram I was a shaking wreck the following day . I'll test drive it today .... Does is low so I think I should be ok :-) this page is so good being able to share with others in the same boat ! It's a sh*tty rocky unsteady boat but none the less it's keeping us all afloat!

      Hi Claire,

I didn't do it - the honest reason being is I went to the docor about my anxity which is due to me feeling insecre in my relationship. My partner and I had a bit of a bust up the other week when I was drunk (before taking the pills) so I was worried to be fair that therte would be a repeate.... I love a good drink but for now I'm going to hang fire. Let me know if you go for it :-)

    Hi,

I've been prescribed sertraline for acute health anxiety, but can't actually bring myself to take them, I'm petrified of the side effects, obviously on the information sheet they have to list all the possible things that could happen but doesnt mean they necessary will.

How does everyone find them? Any feedback would be sooo greatly appreciated as I can't keep fighting this daily battle with anxiety, I'm tired and want my life back sad

I hope your toilet troubles have got better biggrin

    Xx

      Hi ya,

I went up from 50mg to 75mg and got a few different side effects.

My main one is flattened appetite. Still remains. Which is no good when  you have a drink. Decided best kick alcohol as to messy and crash the next day have no appetite at all.!!!  It's a tightrope being on Sertraline. it's 3mths now just keep on taking the pills.
