Hey everyone! starter sertaline for severe panic disorder about 8 days ago started at 25mg for about 5 days then upped it to 50mg which is my current dose. Ive been feeling super spacey pretty anxious and super nauseous to the point of dry heaving. Was just wondering how long these symptoms usually last i feel like its never going to get better!

Everyone metabolises differently and it can take anything from 1-3 months to feel back to normal. Side Effects like Nausea should subside in up to a few weeks but may be much quicker. I usually find it takes about 2 weeks for a dosage change to stabalise. GOOD LUCK AND RECOVERY TO YOU X

Hello Erin,
Stick with it. My 1st week was horrendeous,
I could get out of bed. Week 2 and 3 there wasnt much change. I am not sure when things changed for the positive but i now must be about week 11 and I feel like me again. I have stayed on 50mg. Good luck x

This is the worst time on Sertraline the first 3 or 4 weeks for me were worse than i
was before i started taking 25mg first week 50mg for next 4 weeks then 100mg on 5th week must say i was about to give up on being myself ever again,i gave up driving my car going to parties had to carry a water bottle even to cross the road to the post box i was a complete wreck dodging all my friends could not swallow had to have polo mints in my mouth at all times, then the great news on the 6/7 week i started to get in touch with friends i had not spoken to for ages and realised i was on the mend Sertraline has saved my life 1 year plus on
i feel great again and i am still on 100mg with no thoughts of cutting down.Hope this helps it is not easy but dont give up there is a bright light at the end of the road
