Sertraline 100mg

Hi,

I've been taking Sertraline since October last year. I started on 50mg, then upped my dose to 100mg this year, as 50mg wasn't really helping and I started getting anxiety again. My question is......when is the best time to take Sertraline? I've always taken it in the morning. I don't suffer from insomnia, as I'm always tired, which think is one of the side effects. Just interested in ur thoughts on this.

Thanx in advance! 😊

Hi Angie, I have been on 50mg for just over 2 months now. I try and take mine first thing in the morning, well after a cuppa! I'm not sure if there is any right or wrong way to do it. Whether it's just co-incidence, if I take it before bed, my dreams are extremely vivid and I grind my teeth to the point my husband wants to put a pillow over my face. I still have dreams, and grind, but not so bad if i take it in the morning.

      Hi Gina,

Thank you for ur quick reply. I grind my teeth as well, but I've been doing for years. Long b4 I started taking Sertraline. I think I'll continue to take it in the morning! Lol on ur comment about ur husband wanting to put a pillow over ur face. It made my crack up! 😜

Ha ha, I've always been a tooth grinder too! Since I had teeth, but these tablets seem to have exasperated it! However as I feel more "normal" let's say, we are a bit more intimate, so he can't have it all! cheesygrin

Hi l have not taken any as yet only just been prescribed them, but l have to take one in the evening, but l suffer from sleepless nights, so l think my GP thought it might help me sleep, but l have only a script for 28 days, and from what l can gather, they take about 2 to 3 weeks to take effect. But if you are taking them in the mornings which suit you l would continue with taking them then. How are you finding them with your anxiety/depression are they helping?                                                                                                                                                                              Hope my ramblings helped you somewhat. look forward to your next post

      Ho Melita,

I started on Sertraline 50mg last October and upped the strength this year. I get on very well with them, apart from being tired all the time, but that's one of the side effects. I sleep very well at night. In fact, i could sleep for England! Lol! 😜They are helping me loads. Apart from the tiredness, it doesn't feel like I'm taking them at all! 😊
