Sertraline 100mg to 50mg weight loss

Hello everyone, I've been taking 100mg Sertraline for 4 years, its been great for my anxiety but I've really struggled with the weight gain. I have gained over 2 stone and it's getting me down especially the constant cravings for bad/junk foods. I can't stick to any diet and I decided that I wanted to reduce them so I've come down to 50mg, my anxiety has slightly risen but I'm still tapering so I'm trying to deal with it. Anyway ... my question is has anyone experienced any weight loss or changes in weight when going from 100mg to 50mg . I haven't seen any changes to weight yet and I'm thinking I would like to stick to 50mg for a while but that may not solve the weight problem. I have been on Sertraline previously and when I came off it I did lose the weight I'd gained whilst on it but I had to come off it 100% before I lost any weight.

thanks for reading .......

Hi Jenny, How are you getting on now? Thanks for the reply. I have had to stop at 65mg daily as I cant stand the side affects so I may stick here for a while. Still no weight loss. I was exercising for 4 hours a week for 5 months (whilst on 100mg) and didn't lose anything! I am going to see the doctor this week about any other medication they could add in to help lose the weight and stay on sertraline. It is a shame as Sertraline has been amazing for me, it really worked but I cant stand the weight gain.
