    Hi,

The diazepam is okay in the short run for anxiety, and will calm you down and probably make you sleepy, so be careful, not adviseable to drive on 5mg. You don;t say is that 5mg once a day or more times a day, if you take it at night it will help you sleep. Problem is in the long term diazepam is no good, as you become tolerant to it and end up taking ever increasing doses of it to get the same level of response, one reason many drs prescribe it very little these days.

No harm at giving 150mg a go, it works it many people where 50mg or 100mg has not been effective, I have taken myself and found it to be a lot better at this dose for me, although now I am in the stage of decreasing, after being on for best part of 2 years.

      Hey Holly,

Thanks for the great advise, the diazepam says take 3 times a day but I only have 14 tablets off the doctor so im breaking it in half or less then that when I feel my anxiety is too much too handle!

I have zopiclon for sleeping which I half if needed but the doctor said diazepam is better to use for sleep when I said what is the best to use! Diffrent dictores tell me diffrent things its confusing!

I took my 150mg today and I feel quite chilled tonight and only took 1 diszipan around lunchtym!

I was on 100 for 7 years. Had a relapse 4 months ago and now have been on 150 for almost 10 weeks. You might get the same side effects again with every increase. I'm still having difficult times after 10 weeks of increasing. I hope that you settle quickly.

      Hi Emzy,

I am on 150mg of Sertraline  3 weeks now and feel a slight improvement. The Dizepam will only benefit short term as it can be addictive and doctors are reluctant to be prescribing them only when neccessary. I hope you start feeling a bit better, hang in there as you will start to feel better.
