Hi Rachaelxo, I started on 25mg for a week before upping it to 50mg and I felt very similar to you.  I didn't feel like I was going to pass out, but incredibly spaced out, trouble focusing and generally feeling 'weird' as my GP put it.  I haven't been given diazepam though, so maybe that is making the side effects more pronounced.  The side effects took a few weeks to settle for me, probably about 3 weeks to a month before I felt back to normal.  Stick with it, I think you'll find almost everyone starting sertraline has had nasty side effects judging from some of the previous threads on this site, but they will get better, and if they don't, make sure you discuss it with your GP.  Good luck x

I dunno if the tablets or im just trying so hard to help myself coz I need to get myself back to normality! I'm not feeling so many bad side effects today as I was having so in hoping that's them all gone. Fingers crossed! Hopefully yours will go away very soon too. As I said I'm only on day 11 so here's hoping 😊 xx

Hi Rachel, I was prescribed 50mg Sertraline and started to feel the effects after about a week. They lasted a little while but gradually subsided. This was overa year ago nd happily I am now reducing the dose under GP guidance. I have had similar symptoms whilst reducing the dose but not as bad as when I first went on them. I wasn't prescribed any other medication as you were. I'd suggest speaking to your GP if you are concerned although I would add that it is not unusual to feel like you are doing, especially early on in your course of medication.
