Sertraline 4/5 weeks in

Hey everyone!

So this is coming up to my fifth week of taking sertraline, I’m still getting bad side effects and some days are worse than others but I’ve woken up this morning with the worst dizziness, bad stomach, huge waves of derealisation and I can’t stop the tense feeling in my jaw. Is it normal to still get super bad days? X

Sorry to hear that Belle. I am new to Sertraline and suffering horrible side effects.

I would suggest getting a doctor's appointment if it's worse than you've felt in a while? However, judging from other people's comments about this drug you should soon be seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

I really do hope so! This is the worst I’ve felt in the last two weeks, I can’t see a doctor today because it’s the weekend unfortunately but if I’m not better by Tuesday I’ll go in then xx

I’ve never tried paroxetine to be honest, I work in pharmacy full time and I’ve heard patients that take it get the similar nasty side effects as I’m getting with the sertraline😔I get derealisation randomly but it’s been like this for two days now and it’s freaking me out massively xx

    Hey Belle,

I too am on my 5th week at 50mg and this weekend was a rough one. Dizziness, anxious, fear....pretty much all of the things that made me start the meds to begin with! lol!

I too attributed it to a "bad day" but quite honestly I HATE the ups and downs because the downs seem to be as low as I can possibly go. When I'm up I feel like my old self, but thats few and far between. They say that you will see the difference at 6 weeks, I sure freaking hope so!!!!! Have you had any good days?
