Hi again haha 

So in the last 4 days of sertraline I’ve been having some sad dreams has anyone else ????

    That started the first day for me (im on day 13) and lasted a few days. It really hit me when I tried to have a nap during the day (because i got barely any sleep during the night) 

    My dreams would usually involve people i used to know, missed opportunities, failed romances and alot of regret. It kind if distorted my memories  because i knew some of the dream was complete fiction. They were so real and i always woke up feeling extremely depressed. 

    It has subsided now, im still on 25mg so i imagine this will happen to me if I go up in dose.

      Yeah my dreams are people dying who aren’t really or like me getting chased with a knife or something sometimes I get that thing forgot what you call it where your asleep and your dreaming your asleep and you can wake yourself up but your eyes keep flickering because your trying to open them and aye I do I get plenty of sleep through night but still feel to nap through the day always feel lazy x

      Haha and it sucks because i love naps. As a kid it was great to be able to nap when i felt like it, and it was always a refreshing thing, now im afraid of what crazy repressed subconscious ‘memories’ are going to come up. 

      Its funny im not having those super vivid sad dreams anymore but more like im dreaming about the TV shows im watching. I just finished season1 of The Wire and my dreams have been about me running around hustling drugs, which to me isnt nearly as traumatizing as reliving old memories.

    Yeh, my hand is up, me too, sucks doesn’t it sad 

    Try not to focus on it, it’s hard though, I get it.   I dream about my dad a lot who died a few years ago and I spend the day thinking about him when it happens and it’s a real bummer.  X

    Yes in about week 3 of being on sertraline 50mg  I woke up in floods of tears can’t really remember the dream much other than I was back at primary school and being chased by bullies but it was the waking up in tears I found bizarre. I’ve had quite vivid dreams since being on sertraline I’m on week 6 now and my mood seems better most of the time- did have a panic attack last week triggered by something with my job but I am getting diarrhoea and my stomach hurts about an hour after eating anything.
