Me again. I have been on sertraline for eight weeks now starting at 25 50 75. Should it not be kicking in or am I being too impatient?
obviously having a bad day. Any thoughts.

Sorry to hear you're having a bad day. I've been on Sertraline for 10 weeks now (100mg) and am still feeling pretty desperate. Think it's early days at 8 weeks so hang in there but i would advise seeing your GP if you have no progress at all. There are many different meds and its finding the right one so it might be this one isn't quite right for you. I hope it does start to work for you soon and that you feel better.

went out for a walk and feel a bit better. Did you start off at 100mg or slowly increase your dosage. Have you had any good days?

Results and how quickly the med works varies so much from one person to another that the only thing I can say is that patience does factor in a bit.
My other thought is that at the same time as taking the med that helps balance important chemicals in our brains, we need to also be working on some cognitive behavioral therapy as they go hand in hand creating a more balanced us.
Well worth the efforts.
I sure wish there was a pill that would do it all but there is not one, right? Or I would have found it myself by now!! Ha!
So cheers to you as you find your way to a balanced you!

I have been on sertraline for over 6 months. I started initially on 50mg and am now on 100mg. I can honestly say that I feel good. They did take a while to kick in and the doctor had to increase but I feel less anxious and down. Everyone is different. Not sure what you are expecting but I was the same, but I do know that I feel different. Take care and give it time
