If you skip taking the med for 2 weeks then i think you will have again to start over. You did not mention for how long you have been taking it before stoping them.

The med leaves the system around 3 days and the symptoms usually stayed there for a month or so. But if you start taking it again you will ease the symptoms of withdrawal but you have some side effect of starting it again.

A word of advise never run out, always speak to your doctors & chemist they will understand you need them.

I can't believe you've been without them so long.

You must be feeling pants, these tabs should never just be stopped, it's a gradual process coming off them.

You will probably be back to square one again.

    Good luck xx

Hi Faye, everyone is slightly different in how long it takes to adjust to starting / coming off SSRIs like Sertraline. The symptoms you describe are quite likely linked to stopping Sertraline without tapering off. I'd expect it to take a week or so for the worst symptoms to ease after you start again when you get your prescription, and it can take several weeks (or more) for any side-effects to go completely. One of the worst things about SSRIs is the length of time it takes to adapt after starting them or stopping them, so it's really important that in future you try to keep up with your presriptions. Take care and I hope you feel better soon.
