Its such a hard road but stick with it.  I was back at the doctor at 4 weeks saying i was worse etc etc and then within a couple of weeks after that my days got better and better till I realised I was feeling awesome and no anxiety AT ALL.  I would hate to be the partner of someone going through it, it must be so hard.   Just stay strong for your hubby and you will see the light at the end of this awful anxiety.

Take mine in morning around 730, and the 100 won't put him back in terrible side effects, least it didn't for me, it made me feel better in just a few days, still had intrusive thoughts but lesser degree, and doc gave me xanax, to help.

thank you did your intrusive thougts eventually go. did you have the severe side effects when you first started it? He was taking it on a morning but we changed to night not sure for what reason

I still have an occasional bad day, mostly due to the tinnitus my anxiety caused, I'm starting week 8 today, doc gave me xanax when tinnitus is bothersome, most people I have talked to say mornings work best for them, increased dose to 100 did not have the side effects of the first 4 weeks, I suspect because sertraline was already in system just the 50 wasn't enough, within a couple days I felt so much better. Staying busy helps to deal, work outside, clean house😁, anything to keep his mind occupied with something.

Tim, did your intrusive thoughts come as a result of taking Sertraline?

No, I was having anxiety issues trying to deal with it on my own, then the anxiety lead to tinnitus, I tried to deal with that for a couple weeks but the ringing was 24/7, and that lead to intrusive thoughts, that's when I finally sought help, the sertraline intensified those thoughts for about 3 weeks, I was really struggling, then at week 4 doc moved me from 50mg to 100, about 2 days later I was really feeling much better, the intrusive thoughts Began to fade, I'm now starting week 8 still have occasional bad days due to tinnitus but it isn't as hard to deal now, take xanax on bad days and it will virtually stop the ringing. Sorry got so wordy hope that helps, here anytime .
