Sertraline

Been on 25mg sertraline for seven weeks. At week five had three great days. Then had to stop taking my acid reflux meds for a week for some tests. Seems to have upset my system. Having anxiety again. Doctor wants to up sertraline to 37.5mg. Anybody get side effects when increasing dosage even that small amount?

When I have increased it’s always been by a much bigger amount...so from 50mg - 100mg. I have had side affects each time but they have gone largely by about 2 weeks after the increase. You may not get any with a relatively small increase like this though. Best wishes

    Hello KKhopeful,

    I started my journey in the same manner...  25mg, 37.5mg now currently at 50mg - (Day 28 in total / Day 14 @ 50mg)

I would say for me that the side effects pretty much remained the same threw dosage increases, meaning no real change or increase to what I was already tolerating, but not much benefit either... (but Im only 4weeks in and still waiting for my “aha” moments)

My side effect on this med is mainly low mood/ depression

    Hope this helps  🌹

Thanks UK Rose. Today is the first increase. We shall see. I hope you start to feel improvement in the next week or two. My biggest side effect is increased anxiety.   Hang in there for better days to come.
