Sertraline

I first started on Sertraline around 7/8 years ago.
During that time, I've been from 50mg, to 100mg, to attempting life without, and now 150mg.
Has anyone built up a resistancy to sertraline ? I did see an improvement at times, despite some downsides... And, admittedly, the few months I tried living without were completely catastrophic!!!!
I just now feel like I'm back to where I was all those years ago.... My palpitations are there, which encourage me to drink to relax. OCD is worse than ever.... My sleeping pattern is horrendous. I can't get to sleep, then once I do, can honestly stay in that slumber for anything like 14 hours !!!!!!! After which, it becomes a vicious cycle reigniting my depression, feeling like a useless layabout!
Has anybody else experienced this, building a resistancy? The ridiculous sleeping and fatigue ?
Have any of you felt Sertraline wasn't right for you, and had the bravery to go through the long process of converting to something else ?????

Hi,
I've been on sertraline for 3 years, started at 25 all the way up to 200mg. I had to reduce back down as I started sweating badly. I would wake up in bed and I would be soaking wet and even on a cold day, in a tshirt I would get sweat patches. I have now reduced all the way down to 100mg, I do not feel I am getting anything from then anymore and to top it off reducing has not stopped the sweating issue. I did feel a benefit around 6 months into the medication, I was then on 100 mg but since then nothing. Obviously if I completely stopped I would probably realise they are helping in some way however I am still depressed and anxious.
so although I haven't yet had the guts to try a different medication I can relate to you. I really want to try something different but dont know if I can go through all the initial side effects again.
good luck.

Thanks Michelle,
Even though seems we're both struggling, it's good to know I'm not the only one, and hope I've given you that comfort too x
