I also wonder why you want to come off, but, to answer your question i wouldn't just stop cold turkey and would really recommend you discuss it with your dr.

If you're adamant you want to stop taking them and don't want to speak to your doctor, please taper down to 25mg for at least two to three weeks before stopping altogether.

I wish you well whatever your decision.

Hi Denise, I have come off of it "successfully" by going cold-turkey (without weaning - no tapering), and by success, I meant, not having an OCD thought for a year or two while not taking med at all, and then boom, it hits me again and I have to get back on sert. However, if you mean success by not having side effects in going cold-turkey, then that's a different story. I had terrible flu-like symptoms, nausea being the worst, stomach issues, sweaty issue, etc. when I went cold-turkey. I do not recommend that.

But since you've been on this for around 2 months or a relatively low dosage, you might be able to go cold turkey and the side effects might not be so bad. Or you can easily taper it down by lowering to 25mg and taking it for one month and then quitting after that. Best wishes.
