Sertraline almost 4 weeks and going backwards

I’m 40 years old and have experienced anxiety on and off since I was 20. I took sertraline with Wellbutrin 10 years ago for a year and made my anxiety disappear. Over a year ago I went thru some financial trouble and my anxiety came back by 10 folds and developed rosacea. I have tried so many different anxiety meds this last year and nothing worked. 3 1/2 weeks ago I gave 25mg  of sertraline a try again for a week. Then went to 50mg for a week and now been on a 100mg since. Three days ago I started to feel somewhat normal but the last two days the anxiety is back. My appetite and sleep has gotten better this last week. Not sure what to do? Do I be patient or try going to 150? This sucks so bad. Anxiety has ruined my life for the last year.  Any positive advice recommended please

Hi Dustin. I started on 50mg for 17 days and have been on 100mg for 23 days. Today is the first day that I've been able to go for a shower, get dressed and spend most of the day with my family. I'm not free of the anxiety yet....im constantly breathless...but I'm more accepting of it today, that it can't hurt me and that it will pass. Before today, that same breathlessness would have sent me running to my bed to take a diazepam. I see today as a good result...but it has taken almost 6 weeks to get me to this point. Hang in there. It will get better. Know how strong we are for having this every day and still getting through it. Before we know it, we'll be anxiety free again xx

I’ve been on Zoloft now for 8 weeks. I was on 25mg then 50 and just been on 100mg for a week. My anxiety was heightened this week with the increase and is still not great. This can be a normal transition with the dose change too I’ve been told

Hello, Dustin. I am interested in seeing what replies you get as I too am wondering if 100 gm Sertraline is more effective than 150 gm. I've been increasing from 50 to 150 over the last five months and feel jittery and tired. I wonder if I didn't allow enough time for the 100 gm to embed in my system. People on the forum are saying that it can take months for the medication to balance. I hope you can find a good dosage very soon.

Just to correct my last post. I meant 150 mg not gm! I would expect severe side effects if I were taking 150 grams each day! 😂

I started yesterday going to 125 mg until I see my dr in 1 1/2 weeks. But I’m a little more anxious and had trouble sleeping. Not sure if I should be patient on a 100 until I see my dr. Or continue trying the 125. This process is so exhausting. I just want the anxiety to be gone and back to normal
