Hi good idea, I'm on 50mg and been thinking of halfing it due to no libido and sleepiness. Going to give it anither month as feel the meds are having a positive effect and leveled out after three months!

There must've been a reason though. Wait it out!

Have just read your comment about having no libido. I have felt no sexual desire for the past few months. Didn`t realise they had this affect, thanks for your comment. x

I had this feeling when I was first taking sertraline. My head felt fuzzy and weird. Thankfully it did pass. Started on 50mg, then went to100mg and finally to 150mg, on the doctors advice. 150mg was too much, so am now on 100mg. Hope you feel better soon. x

    Hi Don

Its been a while since I have been talking to you, I went up to 100mg the same day as yourself and had been on 50mg for 12 weeks before that, I have the same thing as yourself after upping to 100mg fuzzy head and kinda spaced out for most of the day and it can be the evening before the head clears and I feel almost normal. my mood has improved big time but my anxiety has been pretty high so I also think that 100mg might be a bit too much for me so I also have a dr appointment next week so I am going to see what she has to say, and if she thinks it too high Ill ask to go to 75mg as I have been on 50mg and it just was not enough for me. How have you bee otherwise?

I felt like when I was on 50 it was too much!  Right away on sertraline I started feeling so much better.  3 weeks back in February I was on Effexor - YUCK.  I felt suicidal right away never felt that way before.  Then was put on Celexa, another kind of nightmare.  I had over the top anxiety, couldn't sleep, negative thinking.  Took myself off of everything without help from my doctor.  I felt healthier but no joy or happiness.  I have always been a happy positive person but could not get there so was put on sertraline.  I found my old self after a couple weeks.  Doctor upped me to 50 and I felt like I was in a bubble.  Talked to my doctor and he agreed 50 might be too strong.  I went from taking 50 in the morning to taking 25 in the morning then cutting 25 in half, taking that in the evening.  I got my happiness back and able to function like before I started taking anything!!  Everyone seems to encourage waiting it out and that is so hard to do but you just have to!  Take Care Everyone!!!

Hi, I have been on sertaline since January 50mg and then 2 months ago went up to 100mg was great for the first 2 weeks then I've had really bad anxiety and have been signed off work for the past 5 weeks. Went to the doctors last week and saw a different g.p. and the first thing he said was that the 100mg is too high a dose for me and put me back down to 50mg. So far so good I havn't felt anxious yet but, its early days and I,m always on tender hooks waiting for something to happen. I must say over the last 14 years on and off 50mg has always been strong enough so heres hoping. I would speak to your doctor because the dose could be too strong.
