Sertraline and alcohol

Hi

I am new here but just wondering had any one any aide effect from the above.

I started back on my meds on Monday after a 2 year break and last night my husband and I had a few drinks but at 3.30am i woke up with terrible anxiety and had numerous panic attacks . I suffer with health anxiety and even pain or ache I get I think it is cancer or life threatening.

I haven't had panic attacks in a while but there where awful.

Can anyone tell me if this has happened them ?

    alcohol is the worst possible thing you can do if you have health anxiety, i make the mistake all the time because i get bored and go out and have a drink, my anxiety attacks are awful the day after, and it takes me 2 days to get to my normal self again which is still pretty anxious, but yes, even 2 or 3 pints will mess my anxiety up, also your tablet wont work if you drink the same day as it, im on sertraline
