hi all

i had to come off paroxetine in may after 20 years as dr said it wasnt working, i was on 30 g taking it for panic attacks

put me on sertraline 2 weeks at 25 2 weeks at 50 he upped them to 100g,then in september i felt like i couldnt cope with all thd side effects, he said thd only thing i could do was increase it, 150,tried that but felt over the top, like i wasnt me.

so last sunday i thought i cant go through christmas feelinv this way, so i reduced to 100.

did feel bits of brightness, but im in bits today, i cannot continue feeling so down, unmotivated and sad,

i ding know if i should be decreasing increasing, of stop it all together.

i find myself putting on such a nice face when tslking to people, but in my head, im thinking i dont want to kmow and so jealous that they feel good,

i want to know, should i have been put on a higher dose in the beginning as id been so used to thd paroxetine.

if anyone else went from paroxetine to sertraline what dose were they on and what dose of sertralind did they go on

sorry for the post but i need some reassurance from somewhere xx

did the paroxetine work well for anxiety? Thinking changing meds as the sertraline making me feel awful. Also have intrusive thoughts/ ocd type symptoms and paroxetine one of meds recommended for this. I'm only on 50mg going try reducing to 37mg. Think they normally start you on low dose then increase.

when i started paroxetine it was great and certainly helped, and i could feel a difference. but sertraline has me worn out trying to feel better.

trying to do things but so miserable and unmotivated to do anything x

Thanks I'll persevere for another month then go back to GP maybe try paroxetine. Certainly seems you've given it a good go. Just making me feel crappy at the moment

Don't know what to do, actually feeling worse than when I first started, I did swap to 37mg for week, but since going back on 50mg couple weeks ago thoughts and ocd type symptoms got lot worse, just feel miserable can't do anything. After 7 weeks shouldn't be getting worse. How are you doing?

Yes I'm in UK? Having to stop zopiclone cold turkey in January caused it all. Then citalopram made hair fall out so stopped that after 8 weeks. Don't know what to dodo next had nearly year feeling crap pinned my hopes on meds working. What did your doctor say then . Getting stage can't take anymore.

i'm going carry on with lower dose see how it goes. Can't hack the 50mg felt worse than I did before I Started the meds over the last 2 weeks. Just don't think they should be making you feel worse. Got appt with GP in 3 weeks will decide what to do then. Have read sometimes people need try 2 or 3 meds before find the right one.Would have stayed on citalopram but was making me go bald!
