Hi there - I'm on this combo. I guess it depends on what you're taking it for. For me, Sertraline works very well for anxiety but I do have to taper it up very slowly otherwise I get terrible start up anxiety (it only lasts about 10 days, but I still like to avoid it). My personal experience on Mirtazapine is that it worked very well for my sleep for about a year, but after that it started to lose its potency (not lose it altogether, just not as strong an effect). I have also found that going above 15mg of Mirt is not helpful - even for the sleep. For me it caused vivid dreams and terrible night sweats that have been counter productive to the benefits on the sleep. So I guess ultimately it depends on what you're taking the combo for xxx hope that is in some way helpful!
