Sertraline and ocd

hi im new here im just looking for some advice really. i am starting cbt in january as i have symptoms of ocd intrusive thoughts, i have had this since 2016 but its never been as bad as it is noe and ive not needed any therapy or medication for it. im sure those who suffer with this can relate to how horrible it is go be living with it and how scared and anxious you feel. i have been prescribed sertraline for it along with my anxiety. has anyone been on this medication before for this and found it has worked? im so scared to start it and it makes me feel worse, i just want to feel me again
