Sertraline and PMS ladies!!

Hi,

So I’ve been on 50mg of sertraline for 10 weeks and I must admit over the last few weeks I seem to be getting back to my normal self. However, a few days before my cycle starts and whilst on my anxiety because REALLY bad to the point I feel back to square one!

Any other ladies get really bad anxiety during there’s?

Thanks

Hi Lauren, I've been on sertraline 25mg for just over 2 weeks, I should be getting my menstrual cycle soon...with that being said I'm getting the normal symptoms I would get before getting it , however I am experiencing some amxiousness in the am and some at night. I do feel the sertraline helping which is great but seems like at a certain time it levels off. I do take half of a 25mg hydroxyzine to settle the anxiety and also do a lot of putting my thoughts into check which helps. Some days are good but as I get closer to when I am suppose to get it seems like it's just bothering me. I also have the jitters which I can't stand. Yesterday I actually felt so calm that I didn't know what to do and I told myself to enjoy it...i did then it just got me ... so not sure how to deal with that. I just saw my doctor on Tuesday 10/2 and she is keeping me at the 25 mg. Trying to stick it through, I am so groggy in the mornings , that I go to work like that but once I take the sertraline at around 10:30 I get energy, I go for a walk, and it settles down, and I'm pretty good. I do eat small things every 3 hrs, helps my stomach, even if it's fruits, a sandwich, a snack, soup, crackers, ginger ale. It helps. My appetite sucks but I just force myself to eat cause if I don't I het even more jittery.
