Sertraline & caffeine

As you will know if you have been following my posts I’ve been on sert 50mg two weeks and have awful side effects headaches sickness diahoria tummy cramps now my arms feel all weird and heavy bottom of my legs soar too I e took paracetamol since 5pm yesterday every few hour or so to see if it would help but each paracetamol has 65mg of caffeine in so I’ve had 390msg off caffeine I stopped drinking coffee etc because it made me feel funny I feel ten times more anxious now can this cause me to die I’m tryin to flush out with water as I felt ok last night and this morning a lot worse again

I don't believe it will cause any life threatening reactions. That amount of caffeine can definitely cause an increase in anxiety because caffeine is an "upper". I've been limiting my caffeine intake since it does tend to make my anxiety worse although now that I've been taking the Zoloft (sert) for several months I'm able to drink caffeine here and there with no issues. You are doing the right thing in drinking water to counter balance the caffeine. Strive to drink half your body weight in ounces (example, if you weigh 150 strive to drink 75 ounces of water). Also, your side effects from the Zoloft will most likely start to subside as you get in to week 3 or 4. If they don't, be sure to follow-up with your doctor.
