    Hi Paul,

In the beginning it can seem like foods and or sugar may be causing this but more than likely its your body responding to the changing chemicals in your brain, to help you so at first you will feel a little worse or it will make your anxiety worse.

So try not to worry too much about what foods to avoid, reduce your sugar and caffeine intake this will help, but right now i dont think its the foods causing your anxietys i feel it would be the medication itself and your body adjusting to that. Hang in there and just ride out the highs and lows it will be worth it in the end..! I wish you all the best 😃)

    Hi Paul,

I've been on 25mg for 6 weeks and I had a lot of side effects, all pretty much gone now apart from tiredness.

I went off sweet foods and coffee when I started and have stopped drinking alcohol. Although I don't feel I was having excessive amounts of these I did wonder if cutting them out also contributed to the rubbish feeling just a little bit (detoxing?). I'm still not eating cakes or puddings and have changed to decaff coffee as I did feel it made me jittery.

I've focused on eating well to help my body along and establish a better eating routine. As my appetite went I wanted to make sure that each meal really counted.

    Good luck on your journey.

Concentrate on eating well, carbohydrates are good and fresh fruit and veg, also keep fluid levels up, plenty of water.. l am at week 8 on 50 mg. l keep searching for reassurance, It's a slow process, general feeling seems to be to give it at least 12 weeks.
