Sertraline for anxiety

I have been getting anxiety symptoms. The one that affects me worse is the palpitations and fast racing heart. The dr prescribed me Sertraline for it. I have been reading up on other peoples experiences with this and they are saying that it takes up to six to eight weeks before you start feeling better. well today is my first day of taking sertraline. I have had diorrhoea and my anxiety is really bad. My heart is racing and jumping about. (I have had my heart checked on at the hospital and they ssid it is all caused from the anxiety). I really actually feel like stopping it already after just one day. Don't think I could stand this feeling what I am having. The anxiety feel worse. 😔

    hello did u continue to take the sertraline? sertraline makes you worse before better and its awful but people say its worth sticking to if you can has your doctor given you and clonazapan or diazapan while the meds are getting in your system for the first 3 to 4 weeks? I've started on sertraline in on 100mg now it will be 3 weeks tomorrow amd I still feel crap even worse actually. rang my doctor she said try hang on for another 2 weeks and see we're u are then 🙄 hopefully your okay xxxx
