Sertraline for depression/suicidal thoughts/ocd

Posted , 6 users are following.

Hiya.

I was given sertraline for low mood brought on by ocd that is making me suicidal.

I have very very bad health anxiety so to take a pill I've never had before is extreme for me, but the suicidal thoughts were beyond explanation, there are no words I can use to make anyone understand how bad it has been.

First sertraline 50mg was taken today.

Really scared because I know they are very likely to cause side effects early on while my body is adjusting. Most I'm concerned about is the blurred vision.

Would appreciate peoples success stories and how long side effects lasted and what they were.

Thanks.

That is great news Alf! So happy for you. May I ask what dose you started on and what dose you care on now? In week 7 of 50mg so looking for advise. Seeing some improvement but still have periods of pretty severe anxiety.

      Thank you!

It was a gradual thing when i look back really . U kinda catch ur self doin small things that would have been impossible the week before and being kinda "happy" but in a different way ( maybe more grateful that the fog was lifting and feeling a bit better)

    Hi

For me 50 mg is the best dose of Zoloft-sertraline. I have taken sertraline for maybe 10 years or so quite successfully. Recently a health crisis saw me increase to 100 mg which caused me to become anxious after about three months.

    I wish you the best

    kind regards
