Sertraline frustration

Hi everyone I've been on 50mg for a week and then 100mg for 15 days so far on sertraline I felt good the other day for a few hours but that's all. I haven't felt like myself for months, my brain hurts so much and I am still super anxious every second of the day....should sertraline be working by now?

    Hi Pamela,

I have been on mine since September 27th started at 25 for 6 days then 50 for 3 weeks wasn't seeing alot of improvement so I went to 75 on the 25th of October. So it is kinda like starting over but the side effects are not near as bad.

So now I just wait for it so reach the right level to work fully. You will get there 🌝

It does take a good few weeks unfortunately. I've been on 100mg for about 6 weeks now and I've been feeling a bit better for about the last five days or so. The anxiety still tries to come back, but I seem to be able to control it more. I was where you are a few weeks ago and I thought the tablets weren't working and I thought I'd never feel well again. I'm not quite there yet, but at the moment I'm feeling okish. You need to give the tablets 6 to 8 weeks to have their full effect. Hang in there...
