That will probably lift when the meds level out. Well done for eating your first meal that's amazing! I'm really pleased your feeling better I hope I'll be the same. Yes I'm upping mine on Friday to 100mg after doing 75mg for a week. I'm abit scared as it's a different brand so I'm really hoping that I don't get any side effects from them xxx

Hi Nicola, glad your doing well. Really pleased for you!! Do you think you'll go any higher or stick with the 100mg. I'm not bad thank you. Been on 100mg for 12days now and I'm still waking up abit anxious but it's getting better through the day. I see my doctor on Wednesday xxx

Hey Michelle, i still get anxiety at the thought of going somewhere i haven't been or where there are lots of people but no panic attacks and i feel much better. Saying that i do want to go higher as i don't feel my happy self if that makes sense? My mood is quite low especially in the evenings x are you going to stick with 100? Hope you're okay hun xxx

Hi Nicola, I'm glad it's helping you, I'm so pleased for you. It will still take abit of time but you've done so well. When do you see your doctor next? You could try going up a dose as if it's no good you can go back down to 100mg again. Not sure I think so but I see my doctor on Wednesday so will see what she says. Would of been on 100mg for 2weeks then. Yeah I'm not bad thanks Hun xxx

Hi Ann, how are you doing? Where are you up to on the sertraline? Ive just started on 100mg but palpitations seem to me more frequent and a cough amd short of breath, dunno if linked to the sert. How are you? X

Hi Michelle, glad to see you sound to be doing well on the 100. Ive just done 2 days on 100 and finding it scary, more anxious, more palpitations, short of breath, dont know if its the sert or the increased anxiety causing it...dont know whether to keep on the 100 or go back to 75. How are you doing now? Xx

Hi thanks for asking. I had to slowly terminate and they now say ssris are not the way to go for me as i was so ill.  Dont know what's next, see psych monday.  Doing cbt its meant to help alongside meds. Hope tou feel better shortly, it would be a shame if you ended up,having to change after all these weeks.  Fingers crossed its just a bad day.

Ahh no Ann, that's such a shame. Will you try other meds? Im starting therapy, CBT and hypnotherapy, on Monday. I had a consultation and he seemed positive that he could help me to sort the anxiety disorder. I booked a block of 12 sessions as it worked out a lot cheaper per session. I wish you well with finding what works for you. I hope i can stick on the sert...rubbish side effects when i up the dose but hoping itll settle. Keep us posted how youre doing Ann xx

Hey Ann, can I ask why you had to come off the sert? My doc has told me to reduce to 75 for now and have an ECG on 20th, she wants to check if its affecting my heart rhythm n said it may not be for me :-(. Xx did you have any palpitations or shortness of breath on it? Hope you are ok and find something else that works for you soon xx

In answer to your questions - my side effects of vomiting all the time with no food in me, along with uncontrolled anxiety through the roof, and i am on warfarin for blood clots made the decision for me.  I am a lot older than you so more concern. No i had no shortness of breath, i have clots in my lungs so they are very careful with me.   I think you will be ok but just get the tests to give peace of mind.   I am finding cbt quite helpful but of course still having the ups and downs. Keep in touch and let me know how you get on.

Sorry to hear that Ann, no wonder you came off the sert. What causes the clots, do they know? Im glad the CBT is helping you, starting mine Monday, looking forward to it. Im worst in the mornings for anxiety, had a cry this morning which is rare for me, at least its released some tension! Are you taking anything now for your anxiety? Yes do keep in touch and best of luck xx

HI Julie, how are things? Your doing really well x I'm not bad, husband came came back and we told the children we were separating so been an emotional few days. I'm feeling better than I was, not 100% but about 70% but that's just been in the last week so slowly improving. Still tired and do wake up abit anxious still but not like it was and alittle but nausea but no where near what it was like. Hope your doing ok xxx

Hi Michelle, good to hear from you. Sorry to hear the separations official and I hope you are ok. You sound like you are making good progress in terms of the anxiety, which is amazing considering all the emotional stuff youve had to deal with on top of being ill. You are clearly a tough cookie and will come thru everything and be stronger than ever. Im ok thanks, back down to 75 cos i was getting more palps and short of breath on 100 and my docs being over cautious insisting on ECG in case the serts messing the rhythm. But nicola has the same side effects so its probably just heightened anxiety from the sert, plus ive tried a couple of days at work this week which was a nightmare! So i'll stick on 75 till ive had the ecg on 20th n see whats what. I still wake with anxiety, take a 2 mg diaz which helps a little, then calm by the evening, unless i get palps then i panic. Quietly. Lol . I really hope i dont have to come off the sert now ive come this far (32 days). I really dont think my doc knows how bad the side effects are before things start to work. She seems to think im having some unusually bad reaction but from what ive seen on here its pretty normal to feel dreadful on them for weeks lol. I dont mind going thru that if they work after 2-3 mths. Great to hear from you Michelle and I will try to check in more often, i dont get alerts for some reason! Keep up the good progress hun, proud of you for dealing with so much $hi!! Xx

Hi Julie, how you getting on? You still on your upped dose? Thanks Hun I had a good week and abit considering my situation but gone abit backwards today hopefully will improve again. I know will still have bad days too but it's disappointing when have a good few days then goes rubbish again xxx

Hi Michelle, Im not getting notifications so i have to trawl through to see if any mssgs for me. Sorry to hear youve had a blip, its frustrating but normal. Have you picked up again since you last mssgd 3 days ago? Ive just had 3 pretty good days on 75mg sert and less anxiety in the mornings which are normally the worst, tho i had a blip last night when palpitations freaked me out n i took a diaz, orherwise idve been 3 days without a diaz which is good cos my doc won't give me any more so theyre for emergencies/ to get me to work! If you feel sometimes youve had a blip, think back to where you were at the start and how far you've come. Hope you are doing better hun xx

No worries Hun. Yes I'm feeling alittle better now thanks Hun. It's just up and down but know it'll be like that especially with what I'm going though too. I'm glad your feeling better, that's great you havent had any diazepam and your coping better. You managing to go to work too? That's great news. Your doing really well too. We have both come so far xxx

We are getting there! Its half term so no work till Monday, which has made it easier to lay off the diaz this week! May still need it on work days though. You are doing so well hun, soon be the weekend :-) xx

Oh you been off this week. My kids are off next week for half term. I'm taking a few days off then they are going to stay with their dad from Wednesday night until Sunday morning. Never been on my own for that long before! Thanks Hun, your doing really well too! Xxx

Maybe it'll be what you need, some time to put yourself first for a change xx did i tell you ive started seeing a therapist for CBT/hypnotherapy? Seen him on Tuesday n had a really good day, it helped me get thru the morning anxiety without diaz...just with positive thinking/ mindfulness/ living in the moment. Ive got another 11 sessions booked as it worked out cheaper per session and i figure i need to give it a good go, regularly! Have you tried any therapy? On the nhs all i was offered was 5 x 20 minute phonecalls which i tried before for panic attacks before they became panic disorder, so clearly those sessions didnt work lol. Hope you have a good week hun and enjoy some 'you time' xx

That's really good Hun, I'm so pleased it's working for you. Yes I've had cbt in the past which was ok and I have hypnotherapy 3 times, which did help but it was just accost. I now have counselling every week which has helped with dealing with my relationship problems. I'm glad your doing so well. Keep in touch. Hope your good the rest of the week xxx
