Sertraline... Here we go again!

Posted , 4 users are following.

Been on these tablets years now but lately I feel they aren't doing anything anymore,

I feel really low and distant from most things,

Weight keeps going up, despite counting calories an doing bits of exercise inbetween working, if I can be bothered that is.

Doctors don't really seem that interested and I don't know what to do.,, not sure if my dose needs upping or need to go on a different one,

All I no is my mood needs sorting out and I want to shift some of this weight ha ha!

My Celexa pooped out on me about 6 weeks ago after a huge panic attack. I'd been find on it for over 12 years. It's been devastating. I'm now on Zoloft and in my fourth week. I'd say go see your doc/psych and get them adjusted or changed. You need a doc that's interested!

    Here we go again too..

I've been on sert now for three months and had really bad side effects and some that still haven't gone away.

Although my gp is helpful and I have just been swapped to 30mg of mirtazapine due to take the first one about now.

So I know how your feeling here we go again lol. Don't know what mg of sert your on I was on 50 for a month and 100 for the last two .

Different anti depressants suit different people. Is it possible to see another doctor. ?

    All the best Rich

Ha ha, it was kind of like a "oh here we go again", 😆 I've been on them before etc,

I'm on 50mg, have been since the start, which was around 2 years ago, maybe 3? I've lost track.

I got awful side effects at the start, I still get some now... Dry mouth, sweating to excess, hungry all the time.

How did your mood change when your dosage was upped?

On a 100mg it had calmed my anxiety quiet well but when the anxiety went I felt depressed. I was probably always depressed but the high anxiety masked it. The main problem I had with them is they gave me horrid night mares and night terrors.. so the doctor decided they weren't right for me.

      Hi rich.

I know how you feel about the nightmares/vivid dreams...have them also.wouldnt be so bad if you woke up & remembered them for only a couple of minutes but they stick with you clearly all day,can really have an affect on your mood. Its also adds anxiety going to bed each night worrying if it's going to be a nightmare or not. Hope your new medication is better for you
