Sertraline increase when will it level

Been on sertraline increase to 100 from 50 for 4 and a half weeks now still waiting for it to give me a positive effect all ive got now is headaches no appetite and tension in chest/anxious depressed dont want to do anything no motivation been on it over 4 months alltogether with no positive effects dont think its working for me at all

    It's a very slow-acting drug and can take up to 12 weeks (at the right dose) before you see improvement. Then it can work well.

    I experienced hell when I changed over from Paroxetine in 2018 but I'm glad now I did!

      Thanks for reply thats the thing towards the end of the 13 Weeks on 50 had some positive thoughts even tho still felt like crap felt it was doing something but not enough? should i have stayed on 50?increased to 100 now for 33 days feel worse than on 50.Do i need to increase again?Thats the thing you just dont know whats for the best.

      I know what you mean. it's a headache in itself isn't it and GPs don't seem to know how best to advise, it's kinda left up to you to decide what to do- about increase or changing the med. I started back on Sertraline 50mg on 7 weeks ago, been on 150mg for last 2 weeks. Don't feel any better at all. don't want to carry on like this feel like I just want to stop altogether but then can't do that either as advised to wean off.

      Been to docs today and he prescribed me pregabalin for my anxiety,WTF am unsure wether to take it might jist carry on with 100 for few more weeks

      at least you've been prescribed something for anxiety my GP wouldn't give me anything when I'm literally asking for help. they don't like giving out benzos as they are addictive but clearly thats not the only thing on offer. close to giving up now with all of it

    Just spoken to somebody who didn't have a single good day until the 11th week on 100mg.

      To be honest mate ive felt like absolute crap for the whole time yesterday was worst day in a long time,today still feel s**t but not as bad as yesterday had a few ok moments where i though it was starting to work but wishful thinking but you just keep going regardless,good luck mate we need it keep going pal youll get there one day.

    How are you mate? Did you see your doc? Would it not be better to change your medication?

    I had 3 good(ish) days and now I feel crap again

      Seen doc he gave me pregabalin not took it dont want to become addicted to it anxiety not that bad today actually fingers crossed but ive said that before now keep going pal its sh*te having to take a pill to make you as normal as possible

    on week 15 on 100 mg up from 50 mg and had a really bad week. like other people on this thread i dont know if its a dose thing or what, to lower or up it or is it the right drug for me??

      Thats a long time to feel crap is it on 100 15 weeks surely it should be helping u by now,ive been on 100 for just over 5 weeks and side effects subsiding i think hopefully hope u get sorted pal
