sertraline increased dose

Hi, i was on 50 mg sert for 4 weeks, upped to 100mg last thurs. Had headache and felt sick all today, is this normal.

    Hi Dawn, how were you on 50mg? Were you feeling better, did you have any side effects?

    In my opinion, 4 weeks is only a short time on this med as it can take 8/12 weeks to have the full effect so upping the dose so soon could very possibly give you more side effects. Also check the brand you're on as it appears with some people a change of brand can bring undesirable side effects!!

    Just one other thing, increasing the dose slower can be better, say 75mg for 2/4 weeks then the full 100mg

      Hi, i had side effects for 2 weeks on 50. I felt a bit better but by week 4 anxiety got worse, thats why doctor upped my dose. had headache first2 days and felt sick, that went off niw back again today.

    50 Mg is working for me but I must say the fealings seems unreal and somewhat confusing.

    Why go to 100 mg - is this something thats a progression, in that the 50 g fails to work after time?

    Useless in expressing my thoughts, its a really a genuine enquiry!!

    Help and  advise greatly appreciated

    Yes. I had exactly the same thing. Took about a week to clear up. Definitely worth sticking out in my experience. 100mg has been discernably more effective for me.
