Sertraline - Intimacy issues

Hi everyone, I've been on Sertraline for 3 months now and I have noticed it hasn't affected my sex drive but I can never feel satisfaction from it, if you get what I mean. Does this happen with anyone else and does it improve or is this something I need to put up with? I don't really want to change meds as I feel they're helping. Thanks

Yeah I agree but it has been The last thing on my mind tbh the last few months.

Thankfully I have a very understanding hubby!

I have the same problem.  Been on Sertraline for almost 14 years.  But it works so well for me I don't want to switch.  It's not impossible to feel satisfaction but it is very difficult.  I keep searching for something that will help but so far have found nothing.

Hi EJ - I had intimacy issues too, just like yours, for me it became too much of an issue, we've been married for 45 years and our sex life has always been fulfilling until I started on Sertraline, I could feel enthusiastic but never reached fulfilment, believe me it was't for lack of trying.   Eventually I spoke to my very understanding GP, she was also aware of my insomnia issues on Sert too, so we reached a decision to change meds, I'm now on Venlafaxine and everything is working beautifully - and I'm sleeping better too.   Not sure my mood is quite as good as it was on Sert but on balance I think we made the right decision!  I hope things work out for you xx
